The WILD LIFE penguin from Schleich® is an emperor penguin. It is the largest and heaviest of all penguins. Furthermore, it inhabits the southernmost regions of Antarctica. Emperor penguins do not build nests. They incubate directly on the ice. After laying eggs, the female returns to the sea to feed on fish. It is the male who incubates the egg. He places it on its legs and covers it with a fold of skin to keep it warm.

Fun facts: To get out of the water, emperor penguins jump on the ice in an arc of circle.
